Since its foundation by the Genoese in 1381, the city became rich in the course of the centuries of sumptuous baroque buildings which were worth it its classification in «City of Art and History». Seat of the Genoese government until 1768, the palace of the Governors will lend its grandiose areas in the Museum of History of the City of Bastia which will open its doors next June.
